Guideline
for e-Poster
General Instructions
- Please note that this is an e-poster session. Please DO NOT
bring a physical copy of the poster.
- The e-poster should be prepared in the MS-PowerPoint slide, 16:9
Widescreen size, Landscape Orientation.
- Posters should be made in PowerPoint (
.pptx) ONLY.
- The name of the final file should be the
Abstract no. assigned, followed by the Presenter’s name.
- All the content should fit into a single
slide.
- The total size of the presentation should
not exceed 25 MB.
- Animation/movies/sounds will not be supported; please submit in a
static PPTX format only.
- You are requested to save and carry your
e-Poster presentation on a USB memory stick (pen drive) and as a
backup, on a second USB memory stick and feed it into the
Preview Room.
- Please submit your e-poster at the Preview Room on the first day of
the conference so that it has maximum visibility.
- The poster will be displayed on multiple screens and will be
available for viewing on demand throughout the conference.
- Authors will present the posters to judges selected for the Best
Poster Award Category.
The date and time of the presentation
will be communicated to you later.
Design Specifications
- The poster should be self-explanatory.
- Text should be brief and well organized.
- It is suggested that font size of the text should be readable, minimum
font size 24. The typeface chosen should be a simple and clear sans
serif (e.g. Helvetica, Callibri, Arial, Tahoma).
- A maximum of 7 lines per slide and 5 words per line will improve the
communication value of your slide.
Color suggestions
- When using light backgrounds (white, yellow, light blue) we suggest using
dark fonts (black, navy blue, dark green)
- When using dark backgrounds (blue, purple) we suggest using light fonts
(white, yellow, cyan)
- Avoid using red or green in any fonts or backgrounds as they are colors
that are difficult to read.
- Illustrations, images and photographs used in the e-poster should be
enlarged enough to show relevant details.
Pictures and Graphics
- Save the picture(s) you want to use as a JPG or PNG and set the
compression/quality to medium or high.
- Avoid saving your pictures as TIF files (especially MAC poster
presentations).
- Save the pictures, graphics or spreadsheets (Excel) used in your poster
presentation separately or on a USB memory stick.
Preview Room for loading Presentations
- The organizers have made the provision of Preview Room for the purpose of
loading & testing your presentations prior to your sessions.
Before Your Abstract Presentation
- Kindly be next to your station 10 minutes before the session starts to
familiarize yourself with the technical equipment. Congress staff will
be present to assist you.
- It will not be possible to link your own laptop directly in the session
room or to plug in your own memory stick onto the computer set-up in the
room.
- If you anticipate any technical constraints, please contact a technical
expert in the Preview Room. These constraints can be overcome if
advanced notice is given to the technical team.
