Travelling to India & Visa Information

All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Mission.

When travelling to India, a Visa cannot be obtained on arrival, you must make a prior application.

ASDP 2025 Mumbai is in the process of applying for Ministry Clearances for Visa Purposes. However, the regulations here have become more stringent and tedious. The timeline for receiving the clearances from the government varies, so we may also face a delay in getting the final clearances.

The committee is happy to provide you with the Invitation Letter on the official conference letterhead.

We request you to check with your consulate for the updated guidelines on travel & visa procedure. You may choose to opt for the type of Visa that aligns with your purpose of travel.

Please note: For a hassle-free and smooth procurement of Visa if you opt for a Tourist Visa you will not be required to show a conference registration letter as your proof. If you apply for a Tourist Visa, you will not be required to produce a Ministry Clearance or Invitation letter.

In such a case, you may mention travel or tourism as the purpose of your visit. We can also help you with hotel confirmation for the same.

However, going ahead, when we obtain the Ministry Clearances and if you have applied for a Conference/ Business visa, we will be able to help you with Supporting Documents like

  • Personalised Visa Invitation Letter on the Conference Letterhead
  • Ministry Clearance- approvals from Govt of India
